Cinevox Record

Acknowledged all over the world for its work in the field of movie soundtrack, Cinevox Record is, in fact, fundamental for the entire history of music. The Cinevox catalog includes works by the greatest contemporary composers, cult for collectors and milestones in the history of different musical genres, from lounge to beat, from jazz to prog rock. Cinevox was created in the mid 60s by Cesare Andrea Bixio, who is also theauthor of the first Italian sound film and the founder of Bixio Publishing Group. Cinevox first LP, released in 1966, was the soundtrack of the movie "The Poppy is Also a Flower", composed by George Auric. During the seventies, the label released some of the best soundtracks ever. We can mention, for example, masterpieces like "A Fistful of Dynamite" (Giù la testa) , "Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion" (Indagine su un cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto), "One Night at Dinner" (Metti una sera a cena) (Morricone). The label produced also the music of many horror films by the master Mario Bava, Lucio Fulci and Dario Argento. In addition to "The Bird with the Glass Feathers" (L’uccello dalle piume di cristallo) and "The Four Velvet Flies" (Quattro mosche di velluto grigio), both by Ennio Morricone, we must remember The Goblin. The legendary Italian rock band composed soundtracks for many films by Dario Argento, like "Suspiria", "Phenomena" "Tenebre," "Non ho sonno" etc.. . The collaboration between the Goblins and Giorgio Gaslini led to the creation of the soundtrack of "Deep Red" (Profondo Rosso) , famous for its immortal theme. Besides those already mentioned, many other artists have worked with Cinevox: from Keith Emerson to Bill Wyman, from Trovajoli to Umiliani, Piovani, Rota, Carpi, Cipriani, Ortolani, Rustichelli, Lurie. In the last years, Cinevox has specialized in the production of tv series soundtracks, achieving great success with the music of "Un medico in famiglia", "I Cesaroni" and "Tutti pazzi per amore"
